ROM stands for Read Only Memory.
COMPUTER READ ONLY MEMORY (ROM)
ROM is the storage medium in computer system and other electronics devices. All update of firmware in computer takes place in computer ROM. The memory in ROM can only be read, its impossible to write or do any kind of modification in ROM. Computer ROM contains special program that enable a computer to boot up. Nothing is lost in ROM when a computer shutdown.

NOTE
Its impossible to change(Modification) memory in READ ONLY MEMORY (ROM) and manufacturing process finished but for computer specialist, computer engineers they can change discrete circuit into Integrated Circuit.

The types of memory found in ROM is non volatile memory. Non volatile memory is the kind of memory which remains constant and unchangeable even if the power failed of shutdown in computer system. Non volatile memory save data automatically even if computer power shutdown accidentally.
